Yes I know I haven't updated in FOREVER!!! I get to go see me new nephew and both neices on Friday and I get to stay the whole week in Colorado!!!! I am more than excited.

Also I still have child care openings for the fall on MWF. I also can watch kids the rest of the summer any day as soon as I get back on the 13th. I can do drop in or whatever u need until school starts. Please let people know or if you hear of anyone looking let me know. Thanks so much!!!

So I have 6 kids in my house all day long which I love. However I hear little girl voices ALL day! S0 tonight on the way home Madison kept talking and talking and talking. I finally turned around and said "Madison can we be quiet for a few minutes please." She said nothing. When we got home she wispers to me "Mommy, I just talk so much because I love you and want to talk to you." Boy did that put me in my place. I leaned over and aplogized and gave her a big hug.

Today is Madison's 5th birthday. I have included pics of her at 1-5. My scanner is not scanning them right so I don't have a baby pic of her. I love Madison because she loves life. She also loves everyone!!! She has so much energy. She is starting to read and has been able to read 3 of the BOB books all by herself. She also has a GREAT memory! We love her so much and can't believe how grown up our little girls is! Most of you know but we had a hard time getting pregnant and it took us 3 years to even get pregnant and even then had 2 miscarriages. Right after that to our surprise one day I was already 9 weekes pregnant with Madison. She is so special to us and we are so proud of her! We love you, Madison!!!

I just wanted to let you know that in the fall I will have 2 openings on Mon, Wed, Fri. I also have 2 openings right now on mon, wed, fri but can't watch them until noon because i have to pick up kids from school. I could do 12-5.

During the summer I usually watch a couple of extra kids as well. If you are interested let me know. I am pretty flexible during the summer because there is no school. I can do just one day or several. I like to try to have Thursdays off for my kids but would be willing to take kids all week if someone really needed it. I charge $4 an hour for 1 child and 6 for 2. You are welcome to just comment on here and i will get in contact with you. Just leave your email address. Lat year I gave several moms a break on tuesdays so i kept several kids and we had a blast!!!

I am so proud of Madison. I bought some BOB books and last night she read 2 of them all by herself with no help. She read words I didn't know she knew. If your child is getting ready to read these books are awesome!!! They are small so the child doesn't get frusterated. I bought them from the school book order. If you get a chance to buy them do it. Hopefully this will mean that Kindergarten will be a breeze:) JK

The other side of the railroad tracks

Ok so usually I don't complain about the train but today is a different story! Everything is on the other side of the tracks from us. School , church, etc. Rarely do I get unlucky enough to get stopped by a stopped train but today was different. I left the house at 8:05. I usually get to school around 810 or 815. I tried to go around the train by going down fretz to second to miss it. I was not happy to see traffic backed up on second. then to top it all off second was closed down to one lane. SO I am thinking I REALLY did not want to have to get out of my car to take madison in because i was late. Well I hurried after i passed the light and got there at 829. 1 minute beofre i would have had to walk her in. God was on my side because on top of everything else Allie screamed the ENTIRE half hour. My stress level was extremely high. That trained sat there for 25 minutes. those poor people that were stuck wating for it. I say that but it took me just as much time as they did. And then to top it off on the way home there was a wreck. I am glad I don't have to get back in the car today with the children!!!
I am hating the railroad tracks in Edmond today!!!!! Time to move? I wish!

Robert's interview went well. He found out there might actually be 4 spots open and 18 people interviewed but they were picked out of 60 people that applied. It could take as long as 2 weeks to find out. Please continue to pray for him and his job. If he doesn't get it we know there is a reason and that there is something better down the road and if he does then this will be a good path to take!

2. Pray that I can continue to lose weight and stay strong!!! My goal is 10 pounds this month and 20 before Jason and Krista get married in June. My biggest obstacele is exercise!!!

3. I am thankful Robert got his brace off so he can start moving his shoulder!

Vacation

So here are some pictures of our vacation. We had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave! While it was 76 degrees here, we were playing in the snow and sledding in Colorado. Of course it was the left over snow from 2 weeks ago. My parents yard is in the shade:) It was still fun:) I was very thankful for the weather here in Oklahoma today because the girls played outside ALL day and I was able to put our things away and start on laundry.

Well since we ate whatever we wanted for a week I guess I will start back on my healthy track tomorrow. I went and got groceries so I have all of my healthy food. Although it is sooo hard to find good fruit this time of year.

Since Robert and I did not go anywhere for our 10th anniversary on the 19th of December, we are going to go somewhere at the beginning of Feb. so if you have ANY suggestions of somewhere that is not too far to drive in a day let my know. We have to wait until Feb. because we are having Madison's party at the end of this month (31st) at pump it up and I will have tons of family in town so I have to prepare myself for that. CAN YOU BELIEVE MY BABY WILL BE 5 AND IN KINDERGARTEN NEXT YEAR???????

We have 2 new members of our family. Maggie and Lala the fish. This was the only thing Madison wanted for Christmas.

Please tell me someone else has had this experience when picking up children from school.
So the parking lot at madison's school is being torn up so EVERYONE has to park on the street. I got to school today and it was utter confusion of where to go to pick up the kids because people were everywhere because they were having their party today. So I was going around this truck to park in front of them and CRUNCH! I scratched their bumper and scraped the whole right side of my car. I had to leave a note and I felt sooooo bad!!! Anyway that's how I started my day!

ME!!! I won the biggest loser at work today. We have been doing it since October. I never win anything so it's a big deal:) I lost 14 pounds and 6% body weight. Thanks to everyone who has been supporting me I really appreciate it!!! I won $104. Wooo WHooo!!! Now I just have to keep it going!!!

Weight

Many of us struggle with our weight. Mine has always been a struggle. Losing it used to be easier but I guess after having 2 kids and 3 miscarriages my body just doesn't want to lose it. I have begun to lose again. It defintely takes longer!!! Over the past 2 weeks I have really eaten healthy and have seen a drastic change in just the past few weeks. I am down 13 pounds since the end of october and 8 of those are in the past couple of weeks. I am down a dress size and can squeeze into the next size.
Before my cravings for food were unreal and to be honest I ate for every emotion I had. I was having back trouble at night and was only sleeping about 5 hours a night. I had no energy and I would get RLS at night as well. Since I have really been watching what I eat it has stopped. I just noticed it in the past couple of days that my energy is up, I am moving more, no more cravings, no more back pain, etc.
Not only has it helped me but my kids as well. I have taken red dye and most sugar out of their diet. before Madison was hyper and allie threw fits a lot. this has calmed down tremendously. My kids will be healthier becuase of me and that means sooo much to me. I don't want them to have the problems I had and drown their emotions in food.

Robert's surgery

His surgery went well. They tightened the ligaments and cleaned it out but when they got in there they found out he had a torn rotator cuff which wasnt seen on the MRI. They fixed that too which required more of an incision. He will be immobile for the next 48 hours and then we will see what happens. Thank you for your continued support and prayers! He feels good now but as soon as the nerve block wears off he will not be feeling so great.

Surgery

Robert will be having shoulder surgery tomorrow at Mercy
(his left shoulder).
Please pray for a QUICK recovery because we are driving to
Colorado in a week and a half and next week is a busy week.
He is having ligaments tightened
and will be out a couple of days. It is outpatient. His mother is
going with him because I have to work. Thanks!!!

this week

So this week has already been eventful.

1st of all I lost 5 more pounds so I am at 10 so far and I would like to lose 5 more this week. 10 more and I am at my short term goal.

secondly, I had a TRAUMATIC hair cut on sat. so now I have short hair. I even had to go to someone else to have it fixed. I still don't like it because Ididnt want it this short but the girl who fixed it did an awesome job.

3rd Robert finds out in the morning whether or not he will have surgery on his shoulder this thursday or a week from Friday (our 10 year anniversary:( )

4th I am excited because we are leaving for Colorado 2 weeks from today!!! YAY! I haven't seen my family in 6 months.

Totally FREAKED out!!!

So our day has been interesting. First Robert heard from

the insurance and they told him he could not do the surgery

at the place scheduled and now he has to start from scrath

with a different doctor.

Secondly, I was walking out to my car this evening when a cop

approached me and asked if I knew the neighbors next door.

He then asked how long they had lived here and I told him

2 years that we lived there so maybe longer. He then asked if

I knew he was a sex offender. Of course I was shocked. He

came in and talked to us. The guy does not own the house his

girlfriend does. They are probably 50. They are odd people.

He told us that if he was home he was going to arrest him

becuase he is too close to the school. So Robert says "Yeah

and too close to my house. That's why we live by the school."

Well he was arrested. Then to find out after we looked it up

that his offense was rape and lude acts with a child or something

Needles to say I am happy he's gone and I have the cops number.

Coversation with Allie

So we were at the Thanksgiving dinner table with
all of the grandparents. Allie and Madsion had
been drinking rootbeer. Allie ran out and here's
what she said.

"Mommy, I want beer!"

Me: "Huh ?"

"I want beer, I want beer, I want beer!"

Me: "Oh you mean rootbeer." (as we were all laughing)

"I love beer, I love beer, I love beer!"

We were all laughing so hard that she started crying.

We have finally gotten her to say rootbeer instead of beer
but it sounds more like lootbeer.

puppy problem

So I think we have figured out that Allie is allergic to
our new puppy. We knew there was that possiblilty.
Strange thing is that Allie loves her sooo much which
we would have never thought would happen! Madison
doesn't care and asked if she could find a new home. I
think Madison is going through some weird phase.
So if anyone would like a really good puppy who is pottying
outside and is kennel trained and loves to cuddle let me know.
We paid $100 for shots and everything and are willing to
give the puppy away for free and all of the other stuff for
$50. This is really hard for me to let her go but we have to
do what's best for our kids! Robert is devasated but understands.
She is really a great dog especially for kids. She will only get to be
about 17 pounds!

The day in review

Madison is home with strep today. 3 other kids in her class have it as well. She has never had it. She missed school yesterday and to think I almost made her go because she didn't have a fever. We got her coat on and she started bawling and asked not to go to school. So I let her stay home because she LOVES school!!! Then I found out one of the other kids had strep and she said her throat hurt really bad. I took her in and sure enough the nurse looks in there and goes YEP! And she said she barely put the swab in and it showed up positive. Madison had to miss her Fall Festival today. She rarely gets sick and when she does it always seems to be on a party day! Another girl (one of her close friends) had to miss school too so we are going to do something special with them when they feel better.
2 doses of antibiotics and she is HYPER girl!!! She is still having a little hard time eating but boy do I wish she could have gone to school!
We are getting a puppy tomorrow from Santa (a little early) tomorrow! The girls are going to spend the night at the in-laws so we can pick it up and surprise them with it. Her name will be Maggie or Molly. Madison loves those names. It is a 6 week old Boston Terrier. I will post pics and hopefully video tomorrow!!!

We had that dreaded parent moment of going to our first parent teacher conference. It was actually student led for the most part. For the first 20 minutes Madison showed us how they do centers and what they have learned. She did an awesome job. Before we left she said "Mommy, I get to boss you and daddy around this time." Then the last 10 minutes we met with the teacher while Madison played with blocks in the hall. I was sooo happy with what Mrs. Potter told us. I was nervous because Madison will tell me when she comes home if she cried about something or broke the rules. Mrs. Potter said she loves that she is so enthusiastic and loves to learn and do anything! She said it does get her frusterated because she has to take turns or something but she said that she has improved with being able to be gracious and take turns over the past couple of months. She said she is right where she need to be in every aspect. I am very proud of Madison for learning how to control herself from getting upset over everything. Her attention span has changed DRASTICALLY in the past 3 months. She never liked art and would rush through coloring or any other project. Now she will sit for and hour and a half to color and she wants to do it! I made the best decision by putting her in preschool and Mrs. Potter has been a blessing to us becuase she is just what Madison needed in a teacher!!!

We went to the park today and I took some cute pics! We had the whole park to ourselves and Kari and Stone came and met us there.

I just realized how big my girls look in all of those pics:(

The lip was due ot her biting it which she also bit her tongue. She couldnt feel it. The dentist said that is normal for a little kid but that this was the worst one he had ever seen. The kisds think it feels weird so they mess with it and this was her result. Not any better yet! hopefully it won't get infected!!!

THe dentist wanted her to come back in to look at it and he said it was the worst he has ever seen and that she need to stay home tomorrow. He is worried that she will be in a lot of pain. Hopefully not!

So Madison got a cavity filled today and they called me from schol because she had a swollen lip and was bleeding. She was sp upset when i picked her up and freaked out when she looked in the mirror. But now she is laughing at the pictures. needless to say i bribed her with icecream and told her we could go to the park after nap. I cried all the way home. Here are some pics!

Well it's official I have a pretty much potty trained child! SHe even uses the big potty (she was scared of it at first). SHe has only had a couple of accidents the past 4days. I still put a pull up on her when we go somewhere because it makes me nervous:) So that's it for ever ever ever potty training again! We are done! Hallelujah!!!

Also my cousin and his wife had a beautiful baby girl this weekend! Congrats! We love you!!!

Just to update you on a former post. I noticed this morning that Allie's tooth is almost back to its normal color! You can see if you look super close where the small crack is but at least its not black!!! The dentist said 3 weeks ago that it was alittle out of line and she will go back in a week or so to have another xray. But again at least its not black!!!

PS Madison is having farm day at school on Tuesday so I am looking to see if anyone has overalls size 5 or 6 and/or a straw hat I can borrow.

I can't believe it!

Today I had a book that had words like cat, hat, mat, Pat, rat, etc. Madison was able to sound the words out by herself and eventually was able to read them without sounding it out. I then wondered if I wrote words down for her if she could read them. So these are the words I wrote down: dad, man, and Sam. She read them all. I think she might be getting it! I am so proud of her!!!! It is definetly something we will really start working on since she is so interested. Words like fan are hard for her and I think it is because the sound that the a makes is a little different. She as also trying to write. She wanted to write to Lily and it was going to say "You are my friend." SHe started out like "U R M " I then helped her with th rest but just the meer fact that she wanted to try was great! SHe hasn't been interested at all until now! She also never liked to color and all of the sudden she could sit there forever and color. I think going to school has helped her patience!!! I am so proud of my little girl and it is such a wonderful thing to see them learn so much!!! Great job, Madison!!!

So I bought an Ariel costume that Madison just had to have and it was a 4-6 and too small so I am going to have to take it back. I then showed Madison her other options and she decided to be bat girl. HALELUJAH!!! So I got a super girl one for Allie. They look adorable. Madison LOOOOVES super heros and this is what I orginally wanted to do. It just took a little persuasion. So thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions. I appreciate it. Here's a picture.

We went to the fair with my in laws and Madison had a blast riding the rides! She had to be 48 inches tall to ride anything that she really wanted but she is exactly 42 inches so she had to ride the smaller rides. She was not happy. She kept asking us where the really fast rides were. She can't get enough of it. She defintely takes after her father.

Well we played soccer for about 15 minutes and then here it came. Lots of rain! Here are the brave kids that stayed to paly in the rain but then they said there was a rain delay. However most of our team and the other team left so we couldnt play plus it was still raining. Oh well maybe next week. Sorry to all of you who drove there and got rained on! I got all of this for $120. Not pictured is an outfit for Allie in the wash that is pink and brown and a pair of shoes that were listed as a size 8. I put them on Allie and they were a 7 and were too small. Needless to say Kendra took them home with her. New soccer shoes. An umbrella stroller and shoes for Ella. And a ton of new doll house stuff. My favorite outfit is the gap black blazer and skirt. It is sooo cute on Madison!!!

My poor babie sare sick. Last night they didn't act remotely like they were going to be sick today. Allie threw up at 4 this morning and then it was Madison's turn at 10. They havent thrown up since but they havent eaten anything. Madison asked me earlier if when she feels better can she go back to school. I'm glad she loves it so much:) I hear the stomack bug is already going around. Last year in november is when it got really bad at sonshine school. Any way here are a few picks of my sick babies:)

SO I love that Madison's teachers are going to start sending home a paper each friday saying how their week was!! Madison's first couple of weeks have been good. Madison loves school and talks about it all day long. On top of that she loves sonshine school thanks to Mandy and Jennifer!!! At school the paper said Madison made good choices and worked indepndently most of the time, particpates in group,etc. The one thing that wasnt the greatest is she got needs direction from teacher when interacting with others. Side note said "Sharing and taking turns are hard at times for her" I defintely know this about her in fact i wrote it on my first day paper. She is impatient like her mother:) Anyway she knows what will happen if that note appears again:) She also got a comment saying she was overheard talking to a friend that had some trash in her hand. Madison told her "Would you like me to get the trash can for you? I can help you throw all of that away" I told her how proud I was of her. She is my sweet impatient child and I love her for it! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
PS How do you get a child to stop lying? She has begun telling fibs sometimes stories. For example, she had a hole in her shirt and I asked her what happened and without hesitation she told me "___cut my shirt with the scissors" I asked her if she was telling the truth and she said "no I caught it on the door" ps Lets just say I found out that my husband used to lie very easily about things when he was younger. Oh boy am I in trouble when my kids are teenageers!!! I love them to death but they can be trouble when they want to. Of course they are sweet when they want to be too!

This may seem like a really stupid question to those of you with kids. About 3 weeks ago Allie got her head smashed (on accident by her sister) on the tile floor. Her lip bled some and all day she was messing with her teeth. Well just in the past couple of days I noticed her tooth is turning black. It doesnt appear to be loose. Should I take her in or not worry about it?
WHen I was about her age I fell and both of my teeth turned black. Those of you I'm sure have noticed that my front 2 teeth are very discolored. They have been this way since my permanent teeth came in. The reason they came in like this was from the trauma to the baby teeth. Sounds strange but it does happen this way according to the dentist. I guess I am praying hers doesnt come out like mine because my teeth have traumatized me. I have never been able to afford to get them fixed (venners or something) They have been the source of a lot of self esteem issues for me!!! (and still is) I guess I will just start saving now so I can get them fixed for her if it happen:)
SO back to my question. Do I need to take her to the doctor/dentist???

I am so exicted! Sonshine school starts on Tuesday. I can tell I am going to have a WONDERFUL class and I know a lot of them already! Madison can't wait to go to 2 schools and have Ms. Leslie pick her up on the "bus" :) SHe will be exhausted so I hope she can make it through SSS with no melt downs because she still takes naps. I am excited that Allie gets to go back to school. SHe loves it so much and this year she gets to go on the playground and go to music! Let's just hope for some potty training soon:) She has been telling me right when she goes in her pull up. however she calls peepee poop. Everytime she goes she says "uhoh i pooped." Kind of cute! Anyway I hope everyone has a great week and for those of you who are teaching at SSS I am excited to get to talk to you again! Although I have to say I will miss my 2 free days:)

Ok so MOnday I picked Madison up from school and I asked her what she did. SHe said " MOm we did the coolest thing. We turned out the lights and we got to point with the flashlight at our favorite center. It was so much fun. WE also closed our eyes and listened to music. I did not think anything of it. I just thought she loved her day. I found out tonight that they had been on lock down because of a strange man seen by the highschool. Good to know they didn't think anything of it thanks to her WONDERFUL teachers who dealt with a situation like this for the first time!!! *I played with games. dart games
*I played in the pretend room that has lots of babies in there and there was plates, spoons, forks, knives, bowls, phones, dishwasher, sink so we can wash our hands.
*THere were crayons and paper to write on but i didnt do it because i didnt want to.
*There was a snack center but i didnt want any.
*I rolled on a mat
*There was a rocking boat and a big slide inside.
*I played with Kayla and we were having a party.
*There was a boy who hit me but I didnt do anything to him.

PS I put a band aid on her thumb so that she wouldnt suck it. It has worked wonders the last few days.
We went to chuck e cheese afterwards and had a blast!

Well this is it. The start of school. Madison wanted chocolate chip waffles for breakfast so we mad a run to the store last night. When we got to school she went and sat down. needless to say we got there too early so next time we will leave later. SHe got a little anxious waiting for so long. All of the parents and children went to the classroom and we sang a son and the teacher read "The kissing hand." The we gave each other a heart sticker and kisses and left. 7 kids in her class are from Memorial Road COC. I'm sure they will have a blast!!!

Thank you Mr. Logan and Ms. Maryanne for giving me swim lessons! Madison had a blast. The past 2 days she had been able to dive off the diving board and she swims to the side. Today for the first time she was able to swim to the bottom of the pool and retrieve a ring! SHe had a great time and got a medal!

Potty Training

I have received some wonderful advice by blogging so I am turning to my friends for some more advice.
I really would like to start potty training Allie. She is almost 2 and a half. SHe knows what to do but she is pretty stubborn. I would like to know everyone's tricks. I have heard a few but would like to know how other people did it. I have tried potty treats but it didnt work very well. Thanks everyone for all of your advice!!!

Story of the day: SO i was keeping the Thrash boys and all of the kids were outside. IT was getting ready to be map time so I ran in to turn the fans on (for noise). I have this huge metal fan. I had my left hand on the metal part and when i plugged it in with the other hand it shocked me. I am not tlaking about a little shock. THis was a chock to where i could barely walk straight. I screamed really loud so madison came running in. I ran (not straight) grabbed the phone and ran outside knowing that AJ would know how to call 911 if needed. I first tried to call Robert and then my cousin who lives across the street. NO one answered. By the time I finished trying to cal people I was feeling better. My right arm hurt and it went through my middle finger so that finger hurt and I had a headsche for awhile but overall I am fine.It was the scariest experience I have ever had and the closest I have been to calling 911. Tonight Robert looked at the fan and it turns out there are some exposed wires at the end of where you plug it in.

How to help a sensitive 4 year old.

Ok so Allie's fits have gone away for the most part. Hallelujuah!!! On to needing some different advice. Has anyone dealt with a sensitive child? Madison has always been sensitive. SHe can cry at the drop of a hat. For example: I dropped her off at a birthday party. I knew she would cry when it was time to leave. Sure enough I went to pick her up and she scremaed and cried because she wanted to draw with chalk. My first appraoch was calm and I told her we could draw with chalk at home, stc. Well she kept screaming and crying. Then off course I lost all patience. We walked around looking for her shoes still crying. I told her I would spank her when we got to the car if she didnt stop. At one point i covered her mouth because she was so loud:) WE walked out the door and as soon as we got in the car I spanked her.
Once we got home we talked about how 4 year olds act. ANyway thats just one example. SHes not a bad child by any means she is just really sensitive and also has to know exactly what we are doing and when and if you forget or plans change things are over for her.
Doea anyone have any suggestion? Are a lot of kids at this age sensitive? I have seen much worse out of other kids but I want to do what i can to help her plus it is embarrasing and you feel like a bad parent if you loose your cool or if you are frusterated:)

Also some exciting news! Madison got the teacher we wanted for pre-k along with 6 other kids from church:) 6 out of the 15 are in her class. This could be a good thing or a bad thing:) HEr teacher is coming for a 10 minute visit on the 11th and Madison is very excited. I am excited but dreading being a taxi a little bit. I know it will just gets worse so I better enjoy it now. It's hard to believe my baby will be going to public school! She even looks older this week!

We had a great time on our vacation to Colorado to visit my parents! WE went to the lake one day and rode in Uncle Lance's boat and on another day we went to the north pole in Colorado SPrings. We saw Santa and Madison and Briley rode all of the rides. They were so brave. Madison giggled the entire time! WE had a blast. If any one is ever in Colorado it is totally worth the money to take them there.

One funny story. On the way there Robert decided to take the back way through the Black Mesa. He followed a yahoo map which ended up being a VERY bad idea!!! WE took this dirt rode that led to nothing and it kept going. WE were running out of gas because there was no town to stop at to get it. We couldnt find the highway and poor Robert had all three of us girls in tears. He had a wife on her period and who need to go to the bathroom, a toddler screaming (im sure she could feel the tension) and a sweet and patient 4 year old. WE fianlly had to use the bathroom outside in the middle of nowhere whcih was traumatic for me!!! Madison couldtnt go and had not gone in 3 hours. WE fianlly see this sign that says truck route and we though it surely would take us somewhere. It dead ended into this ranch. Robert gets out and we meet the nicest lady. SHe sends us down the right road and on top of that she puts gas in our tank to get us to the next town which was an hour away! Need less to say we made it and madison finally got to go to the bathroom:) Daddy was trying to do a nice thing and it ended up terribly wrong:) Hre are some pics of my neices and my girls Hope you enjoy!!!

Most fo you girls will understand this but i just have to vent. We are going on vacation for a week on Thursday. So you know what that means. I have to pack all four of us. On top of that we have to have warm weather clothes adn cool weather clothes because it is supposed to be chilly in the morning and evenings. What does this mean? twice as many clothes. I realize it is my job to be the organized one and get everything ready but i just wish i had a little help:) WE still have 4 days until we leave for Colorado but I had to start today to make sure everything gets packed. And you know how it goes. YOu cant find a certain shoe or a pair of pants so you spend half the time looking for something. It is worth it in the end but it is exhausting:)

We had a garage sale last weekend and Madison was upset that we were selling a ton of her toys. I made a deal with her that We could get one toy to replace all of the others. I found this cool dollhouse for $50 and it came with the people and furniture. Allie plays with it more than Madison. You can hear them in there talking to the dolls. IT is sooo cute. We had a blast this weekend. Yesterday we started of at the parade. ALlie sat the whole time fascinated. Everytime she heard a loud siren or motorcycle she would squeeze Don's shirt really tight. Madison spent the first half of the parade seing how many princesses and clowns:) she could get to wave at her. Then she got tired and went and played in Ms. Sarah's store with Brenna, Piper, Collin, and Katie. After the parade we headed to Sayre to spend some time with my best friends family watching fireworkd. I was actually impressed. Her dad owns a minature golf course so we sat out there and had a barbeque and then we let off our own fireworks along with everyone else in Sayre. Then the city let off theirs and it lasted 30 minutes. it was awesome. Allie was scared of the noises but loved to look at them. SHe would say "oh beautiful." so sweet. We had a great time!:) Needless to say we are resting the rest of the weekend!

PS Less than a week until we go on vacation to Colorado! We are soooo excited!!!

The neighbors

Tonight has been interesting. First, we were getting ready to eat dinner when the doorbell rang. It was a cop. He said the people behind us called them and said we were cussing at them (they told them it was us because we have the swingset in the backyard). First of all we never went outside today. When we got home at 2 we all took naps. Second of all, those of you who know us know that that would never happen! We talked to the neighbors next door to ask if they heard anything and they had been outside and never heard anything. So now we are thinking they were trying to get us in trouble or someone else was yelling at them.
Most of you know we,ve had problems with them. They have 5 kids and mom works at night and sleeps all day so no one watches them. They tell my kids they are going to kill them, climb on our fence which we had to have repaired, recently they trow rocks through the fence at the kids, the dog has broken through our fence and barks all of the time, etc. Have we ever called the cops or cussed them out before? Of course not but now I am wishing I had:) Maybe it's time to move:)
After all of this we hear an explosion. We go outside and cant see anything. Then we hear a second one. A couple of streets down a green box exploded. No one hit it it just blew up. The popel said the first blast happened and they lost power and then the second one happened when they all went outside and 14 foot flames were shooting out. Thank goodness no one was hurt. It was one of those in someones yard. Needless to say we might not have power soon when they start working on it.
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day!

So we have officially hit the terrible two's. The meltdowns are ridiculous! She mainly only has them at home. Everyone at church says she is an angel. These happen when she wants something even though she can tell me now. They often happen when she first wakes up. She screams at the top of her lungs, throws herself on the floor, etc. SHe does this anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Sometimes i feel alone but i know its not true. If any of you have suggestions let me know! Ignoring her works sometimes but she does not respond to spanking and thinks its funny even if she cries at first.

This years VBS is about creation. TOdays play was awesome. It was all done in blacklight. THe kids laughed sooo much. YOu would have thought some of them would have cried with the lights out but you couldnt hear any crying at all. The girls had a great time. Even though it starts at the age of 3, those of us who teach get to bring our little ones to babysitting. ALthough its not babysitting. They do their own crafts. Allie didnt want to leave with me she had so much fun. Here is a pic of the girls in their VBS shirts that glow in the dark before we left for VBS this morning.

weight update

So as of this morning I have lost another 2 pounds making it 7. A couple of months before the challenge I had lost 7 so that makes a total of 14. I jogged my mile in 15m 45s which is my best yet. I know I need to start going further:) I think I lost a pound last night at church alone because I was running back and forth sooo much:)

ON a side note. My mom is having surgery tomorrow and will be in the hospital until SUnday so please say a prayer for her. SHe will be off work for 8 weeks. also robert is having outpatient surgery today so pray for a quick recovery;)

Father Daughter Tea

The girls got to have tea and princess themed snacks, put on make up, make crowns and purses, play kiss the frog and musical pillows, painted fingernails, and they got to take home a pillow that Miss Verna Lee Parker made for all of the girls. They had a great time and it was so cute. SOme of the older girls were funny because if the dad asked them to hold their hand in the picture the girls would say no. Kind of funny. Wait till there teenagers. SCARY!!! Next year Robert "gets" to take both of the girls:)

END OF THE CHALLENGE

So I defintely didnt lose the 12 pounds I wanted but here are my results.

I have lost 5 pounds as of this morning.
I have lost 6 1/2 inches (3 of those are in my stomach and waist.)
I can walk a mile in 16m 20 s (at the beginning it was taking me 22 m)

I am very proud of my self. My diet has totally changed. I cant remember the last time we ate out. We get subway if i am craving fast food. I havent been snacking at night. Its a little frusterating that it is only 5 pounds but I figure it is a lifestyle change and eventually it will come off. THose of you who are doing fad diets dont! I have done that and lost 12 pounds in a week but gained it right back. Eating a balanced diet and smallerportions will take longer but will be owrth it in the end!!!
I am going to keep you updated once a week so you guys can support me in this because i will need it!!! Thank you for all of your sweet comments!!!

So I haven't posted anything in a couple of days so here's a few pics I thought you might enjoy. The girls and I had a blast today at the Clarks! They played and played! I also put pics of the kids yesterday when we caught a frog. Notice how Addy was laying on the ground looking for it. SHe laid there for a long time waiting. Robert and I had to work in the nursery today. Madison decides she need to go to the bathroom. WHen we get in there I tell her we need to hurry because I need to go help daddy. THis was what she said in return

SO even though i am still stuck at a 3 pound weight loss i feel like my upper body is a lot smaller. So i went in to kohls to try on a couple of shirts. I actually got into a XL shirt and 2 dresses. Before my arms would have not fit through the holes. The shirt was sleeveless and I wont buy sleeveless shirts but it was pretty cute. Maybe when I am in a Medium :) THanks you for all of your encouragement and when you see me please keep encouraging so I dont lose my will power. That is what has gotten my down in the past. My frien Krystal has really inspired my to lose the weight. SHe has lost 40 pounds and she put up a picture and she looks absolutely gorgeous. I am sooo proud of her and i hope to be proud of myself one day. Today I was proud because I walked/jogged a mile in 17 min 20 sec and when i first started on the treadmilll it was taking me 22-25 minutes. SOrry if you guys get sick of the updates on weight but it helps to write down my thoughts! Thanks again!!!

3 weeks

SO i have been exercising for 3 weeks and only lost 3 poounds. I lost those 3 punds the first week and then nothing. I have been eating so much better. THe past 3 days i decided to stop eating carbs and still nothing. you would think with as much weight as i need to lose that it would come off easier!!! I have been doing 20 minutes of toning and 30 minutes of cardio. All i know is I am strting to get frusterated and I know what happens when i dont see results and i dont want to revert back into that mindset. I want to keep exercising and eating better. I defintely have more energy but for me that is not enough. If any of you have suggestions i will take them!! Just wanted to grip to get it out of my system. thanks for listening!!!

I am soooo happy because I found out today that Madison got in to the school I wanted for Pre-k. FOr those of you who don't know we have public pre-k here. It is done by a lottery. You fill out a paper and you write down your first and second choice. A few days later they do drawings to see where they put the kids. I found out today(a day early) that she got into Clyde Howell. It is considered a public pre-k but instead of being at a school with all of the other grades, this one is just 4 year olds in the whole building. All of her friends that wanted to get in there did so she will know several people in the school. She is so excited and we have been praticing saying the name. We are going to drive by in a little while to show her what it looks like! I showed her pic of what they do at that school and what is in the inside of the classroom and she kept saying how cool it was:) Now we just have to pray she gets morning:) I am sending poor robert to wait in line to enroll her Thurdsday morning because I have to teach.

So it hasnt had time to sink in that we only have 3 weeks left. with Chelsea leaving and working on the me book I havent had time to think about it. SO I have to say that I am really going to miss my class. I have grown so close to the kids as well as the parents. Looking at pictures from the beginning of the year reminds me how little they looked at the beginning. I will miss all of them sooooo much!!!!
